I got this in the mail WOOT.
Dear Edmund_Talbot,
Congratulations, you are now a World of Warplanes test pilot!
This means that you can participate in Closed Beta Testing and test out dozens of military airplanes. But most importantly, you will be able to contribute to the process of perfecting the game, reporting bugs and errors, helping optimize gameplay and game balance, and preparing the project for the Open Testing stage.
You will be granted access to the closed section of the World of Warplanes Forum. There you will be able to share your in-game experience with fellow players, communicate with the game developers, and contribute to the improvement of the game.
You will require the following:
* Install game: http://worldofwarplanes.com/en/update
* Go to Forum: http://forum.worldofwarplanes.com
* Discover latest activities: http://worldofwarplanes.com/news/
* Contact Customer Service: http://support.worldofwarplanes.com
Welcome to Closed Beta! Good luck!
Any body else?

So was violating your NDA the first thing you did after finding out you got in?

If i recall from most of my past betas, the NDA allows you to confirm that "yes, you are in the beta" you just cant release any info or screenshots. Seeing as how they dont even protect their own beta forums against non-beta users. . . .

I dropped an app to try to get in today. Figure I would try it if I can.

Point taken. There was a huge World of Warplanes booth at PAX but I didn't get a chance to check it out.
I did, however, get to see Neverwinter, and I was very impressed.

Biggest thing for me was active targeting. You hit what you're looking at, basically. No tab targeting - face your character at the enemy you want to hit, and use your skills. Combat was very fluid and dynamic. And, I will add - it didn't feel or look at all like a reskin of the engine we're used to. If you've played Champions Online, you know that STO has a lot of common elements in the ui's and such - you can tell it's the same engine. I didn't get that feeling at all playing Neverwinter.
Apologies for the thread hijack.

I don't think I have one. Not got to log in due to baby coming out of left field early. And if I already made it in a form for applying or something I don't remember(if so I'd say its Huckabee)

I'm in the beta on the European server....not overly impressed. I'm waiting for World of Battleships more than this game tbh

It's Huckabee Talbot. I got to play a few training missions for a sec while coming home to change (I was eager to try, I grew up loving WWII aircraft). So far seems like something I'll like. Which isn't good. haha I'll have to find time for STO, MWO, XCOM(when it gets here), this, and the new baby
