Hey guys, I wasnt sure where to post this... So I hope this is the correct forum. (If not then I hope an admin would be kind enough to move this post to the appropriate place.)
Anyway just wanted to say "Hello" and introduce myself since my application to the 7th fleet just got accepted.
Since I dont want to bore u guys out of ur mind I will keep this as short.
My real Name is Frank I am 26 years old and from Germany. I just finished my Master of International Business degree and recently started playing Star Trek Online.
I am really new to the game so I would appreciate any help and advice u guys can give me. So... I am really looking forward to being part of this community and hope that we have fun together.
All the best!
Revan
PS. First question... I still need to join the fleet in game.... How do I manage that?

Welcome aboard! Glad to have you along for the ride.
The Fleet typically operates on US EST (GMT -5). The best thing to do is hop in to our ventrilo and try and find someone who can invite you into the fleet in game from there.

Mein Deutsch is very rusty; had 3 years of it in high school (Gymnasium), spent a few weeks in Bayern for a student exchange and then 5 years a little north of Trier with the Amerikanischer Luftwaffe. Haven't had a lot of opportunity or reason to practice it since.

Welcome aboard! I'm the Fleet Engineer, if you have a problem in game or with you PC, I'll try to help. As far as linking to the Fleet, I'll be home tomorrow, Donnerstag und Freitag, and will be in and out of the game throughout both days. If you haven't installed ventrilo:
http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php
And, I'll Post Mail (PM) the configuration for vent.
I lived in Germany for 7 years (4 yrs Army and 3 yrs as a contractor for the Army), and am lucky to speak any German. I speak what I call "kaufen deutch" (Shopping German) - every time I would try to speak German, the person I was conversing with would start speaking English, so I never had a chance to learn anything but what I needed to shop and buy things. But, I loved the country and the people and friends I met and made while living there. (I should quit typing these things at work - I went back to read this, and it made no sense. So I had to edit.)
Happy hunting,
JT
