They aren't Robotech, I'm afraid. They are LAM's from Battletech, though there's no arguing where they got their idea from on those particular designs.

Sign me up for the Battletech/MechWarrior NERD crew. I was sucked in by all of the cool Japanese Robot Animation in the 80's. Dad was stationed in Okinawa Japan. Started the table top roleplaying in the 80's. All of the MechWarrior games.

I've got a decent collection of the MW:DA pieces, too; I know a lot of the rabid CBTers made it sound like the spawn of the Anti-Christ, but it did a lot of good for the hobby. Plus, it was a fairly quick way to play, unlike the CBT ruleset.

Me too! I remember seeing Battletech on the shelves for the first time in 1987 and picking up a copy. It was a popular game in the barracks. Aerotech, Citytech and the other supplements were eagerly snatched up as they came out.
Later, when Mechwarrior, the tabletop RPG was released, it added a lot of depth to the game. Now, I could actually play the pilot, not just the mech or lance. We played a mercenary company, always trying to make our fortune but, more often, just struggling to keep the mechs repaired and weapons loaded.
I've always been partial to the assault mechs, with the Atlas being my favorite. When the Ares OmniMech hit the field... Well, bigger IS better in my book!
Here's the video that made me fall in love with the massive Ares:

I never played BattleTech myself but these make me think of the old MechWarrior games from back in the '90s. I played MechWarrior 3 at my friend's pad all the time and when MechAssault 1 and 2 game out, I played them religiously! Thanks for the nostalgia! I might try and play those games again now.

Never really knew about the board game versions, due to age, but I really enjoyed playing the computer versions of this games. Notable were MechWarrior, Mech Commander, EarthSiege, which grew in StarSiege, which became Tribes. What really funny (or sad from my wife's prospective), is that I knew all the names and capabilities of Mech's above. Funny, what your remember.
Good times!

Perhaps my favorite drawing of one of my favorite 'mechs, the Axman:
What my main character's Axman looks like (mostly):
A great CGI Marauder:
