Captain's Personal Log, USS Excalibur

The ship has been adrift for the last 4 days. While responding to a distress signal near New Romulus we encounter a ship of unknown make and origin. I ordered a standard hail and sensor sweep to detect what might be the cause of the distress. The ship suffered from a massive feedback pulse which transferred some sort of computer virus into the Ship's main computer. We lost all primary and most of the secondary ship systems. My Chief engineer has been working on the trying to locate the virus and wipe it out before we lose life support. In the mean time my first office Commander Six of Nine has been trying to identify who or what ship sent the distress signal and why. I just hope we can get systems back online before another ship gets caught in this trap.
