Forces from the Mirror Universe are breaking through to our reality! All available Starfleet vessels should report to quell the invasion before the Mirror ships can establish a base in our space!

Orders are clear; secure the zone from Terran Empire invasion forces led by the Dreadnaught flagship I.S.S. Stadi.

Four other ships were ordered into the zone to assist:
U.S.S. Wolverine - a Patrol Escort normally assigned to the neutral zone
R.R.W. Hawk - A Romulan Warbird assigned from the Romulan Republic to assist
U.S.S. Andrews - A Nebula class Science Vessel normally on long range patrols
U.S.S. Prutalist - An Andorian Escort recently commissioned

The success of this mission is crucial to the safety and security of this sector, and to Starfleet as well. We must not allow the Terran Empire to gain a foothold in our space, lest we will face yet another enemy to add to the struggles to bring peace to this side of the galaxy. I will confer with the captains of the other ships to coordinate a strike plan to drive back the Terran forces.

The other captains and I have discussed plans to best take down the forces in the incursion zone. We will move in a counterclockwise direction around the starbase and work to eliminate the forces as we proceed. The Avalon is still damaged from the previous bout with the Klingons, but she's a good ship and will hold out for this battle I'm sure.

Tension is high aboard the Avalon. Lately it has been one battle after another, and the crew is looking forward to some downtime. This is one of the toughest battles the Avalon will face, and one of the most important as well. Terran Empire forces are already formed in the area, and we are closing to engage.

We have engaged the Terran Empire forces now for over six hours, all ships have sustained heavy damage and the flagship I.S.S. Stahl has warped in through the anomaly. There are more Terran ships yet supporting the I.S.S. Stadi, and we are engaging in an effort to relieve some pressure from finishing our mission.

As a side note, The Stadi is a formidable ship, taking a harsh beating from us, but showing little wear so far.

For now, we are trying to maintain distance from the Stadi while finishing off her support ships.

I.S.S. Vindicator, NCC-102667

**DISASTER**

The Avalon has been destroyed. The Stadi targeted our warp core and breached the systems. I was able to order the crew to beam out in time but our ship sustained irreparable damage. We beamed to the space station where we engaged Terran Empire security forces. Happily, I can report there were only minor injuries sustained by the crew.

Upon our arrival at the space station, we were able to determine there was one Terran ship that was not part of the battle. We have taken the I.S.S. Vindicator as our own and rejoined the battle against the Stadi. With the element of surprise on our side, we were able to land a devastating blow, knocking out the shield on the Stadi, allowing the escort ships to do maximum damage. My first officer commented on how appropriate the name of this ship is.

I have reported our situation to Starfleet. Current orders are to report back to space dock on earth where the Vindicator will be inspected and commissioned into the fleet for service. I have asked to keep the current name if possible, noting that if not for this ship, the Avalon would not have been vindicated; I also pointed out she resembles one of our own Avenger class cruisers... Admiral Quinn took amusement in my suggestion, and it would seem feels I will make a good captain for this vessel. The I.S.S. will be retained for now as well, to distinguish the ships nature of being a wolf in sheep’s clothing; an assault cruiser which looks like a star cruiser.
