I have just returned from a meeting with the admiral on starbase 214 R/O. It was a brief meeting where we spoke of the mission and how important it was to maintain secrecy. Most of the discussion revolved around the use of the LMS and his rules of engagement, to wit: The Admiral or XO in his absence has final weapon release authorirty, The weapon can only be used if certain criteria are meet, these where. That the planet was systemically dead, it would neither have fragments of a society trying to hang on nor capable of harboring meaningfull life in the future. The planet must not contain any resource necessary or needed by starfleet or the 7th fleet that was rare elsewhere. Only my command staff had a 'need' know the crew could not in any way know of the deployment of the weapon, The weapon must not fall into the hands any other life form. I would need to leave starbase 214 R/O as soon as I could, I let him know that I would be underway this day.
The Admiral also filled me in on the new Klingon battel cruiser, for lack of a better term a carrier vessel. I naturally had to say I told you so, and ihope he may prevail on Starfleet general command to buld the craft I propossed with multiple landing craft and fighters. Before we parted company he handed me my sealed orders, he would head back to S.B. 643 and monitor our situation.
Now back in my ready roon I have opened my sealed orders, they contain most of what has been written herein, with some interestesting noteables. I would be carrying 4 of the LMS devices I was under the impression it would be 2, I must begin my recon with a rocky terrestial world simply known as RS-014, I have been there once before with captain Perry and we will begin to send to his private command channel, The dead zone has already expanded since my departure from it, Finally I was to look for Captain Perry and his ship Stille Jager
as neither he nor anyone else in 7th fleet command has heard from them
