I must warn you $150.00 for this game, even with its extras, is not worth it in my opinion.
Sure they throw a lot of crap in there, that sounds nice, but the only truly useful thing is potentially the exclusive vendor.
I intend to buy the Digital Delux Edition ($79.00) and even then, I'll wait until a few months after launch.
We all know from STO how much the game improved a few months after launch. I believe the same will hold true for SWTOR or any new MMO.

Really? Warhammer and Rift had great launches, and turned into steaming piles of shit 3 months later. Warcraft had a terrible launch, and came out smelling like roses not long after. Conan's launch sucked, and the game continued to suck. You can't judge a game that hasn't been launched yet from a company that's never done an MMO before based on your experience in STO.
Bioware is not Cryptic, and the two companies have completely opposing design philosophies. And need I remind everyone that even though this is Bioware... it's also EA? Mixed in with Lucasarts? Bioware's reputation is stellar; Mass Effect and Dragon Age are incredible RPG's. Single player RPG's. EA's reputation is complete crap, and for very good reason; and Lucasarts' rep is spotty at best. Sometimes they make crappy games, but you'd never know it by the cover price. Slap the words 'Star Wars' on the box and who gives a shit if the game is any good, right?
Personally, I agree with you in part. Charging 60 bucks for the standard box takes fucking balls. This isn't a console game that I'm only going to pay for once. 80 bucks for the Digital Deluxe is the same cost as STO was for the friggin collectors edition. 150 bucks for a SWTOR collector's edition is outrageous.
How much will it cost to play Star Wars: The Old Republic?
Pricing for Star Wars: The Old Republic will be determined and announced at a later date.
Let that fucking sink in for a while. Don't be surprised when these assholes charge 20 bucks a month, and throw a cash store in on top of it. Their $150 CE is already sold out, less than 48 hours after preorders go up. If I thought they had balls with their box pricing, ... ya, I wouldn't be surprised for them to go over the industry standard $15 a month.
If youre shelling out double the norm for a CE without even knowing what the sub fee is going to be... well, may the force be with you - and your wallet.

I know where your coming from but in actuality from what im going to do... im actually going to play it FOR the story part of it. If it is in fact going to be more then 15 screw that after I finish the store. I liked the Kotor games and i like Bioware they make amazing games, and shelling out the 150 for the collectors ed. is like i said before my SW junkie side. also like i said before this is a MONUMENTAL game whether or not it shines or craps out. Even if it is a single player MMO.... Im still gonna know what happens to the exile and revan, and im still gonna get my intial money's worth even if I do only play for a month or two

Ummm....are you agreeing with me?
Basically, what I was warning was that taking a $150.00 plunge into a game that is unknown to you is a pretty big plunge.
I have not gone to the regular forums to see how that is going over, I doubt well.
All I will say about SWTOR, and I was correct all along these past 2 years...
It plays like a single player game, with a very linear story, and has very limited freedom or need to play with a group. It is a single player game, with a subscription and it will have an item store and its CE costs nearly twice the industry standard.
So Shack, many of your worse fears seem to be coming true...

and tbh I dont mind paying the 150 ... cause its proabably what I would have spent in sub fees if the game was going somewhere where it would actually need .. say .. other players to play with
