Ok, raise your hand if you had to defend the I.K.S. Kang against 6 Borg BoP and 4 Borg Raptors by yourself because no one defended it and you was a guy short full of a team with no DPS sci's...........*raises hand*
10% till mission fail. Headache
With the influx of returning players at high end, PuG groups have become......well their old selves. No one is paying attention to chat (cant remember if silver gets it) and when someone is guarding something (Kang/stopping probes/stopping nanites) they are not asking for assistance. Also the past 2 days it has launched the missions with 1, sometimes 2, players short for a full team.
So for those that have not been on in awhile since the new STF's hit this is your heads up that the PuG's ain't as smart as they once were about doing things. Granted you still get really good groups but its becoming a luck draw now, not something to count on.
P.S. I know you few are thinking "well, another post by huckabee, geez" But I'll be damned if I let this site turn into the ghost town it was starting to look like

Brother, I could tell horror stories for days about PUGs. I've seen shit in elite STFs that just boggles the mind. I had to take a little break from them this week because it's all just getting to be too much. I'm really looking forward to the day when the 7th Fleet has a dedicated group of STF runners. Frankly, I'm a bit surprised at how little interest there has been among fleet members in working on this.
As for the site being a bit of a ghost town... Yeah, I've noticed that too. I chaulk it up to the shiny new toy that is TOR. That said, I suspect we'll have a lot of new potential members looking at us in the next few weeks. I'd hate for them to get the idea that we aren't a lot of fun.

That's right! We ran infected like one gazillion times! Mr. Augerson was the go-to guy for STFs. I think he ran infected 20 gazillion times...

re: PuG Warning
Mr. Keogh,
You are 100% correct. What I will do is make an STF elite Fleet action say once a month or so if that will work for you, I'm open to any suggestions. Has far as the other shiny toy yes our folks are playing Because it's new and has lot's of content but by the end of the day we are all Starfleet Officers and will be loyal to our fleet and cause.
Although I am a scifi guy and do like both genres my passion sides with STO just waiting for Cryptic to get off there arses and let us have more content... Wanted to reply that I am here and will ever be loyal to the 7th fleet...
That is all sir...

Ew..this is why I don't do many STFs outside of the fleet, time is precious and I hate wasting it. After this weekend (burying my grandfather) I'll be on almost every day.
Hope I can snag a few of those competent groups to run with, only have one MKXI piece .

Condolences on your loss, Mr. Himura.
Yes, I will generally be up for doing STFs; during the day, it will be a bit harder to grab my attention if you're not in the game I am, since I'm generally not on Vent.

Don't forget guys monday nights we'll be running STF's (only one night a month I'll be on nights that night). I'm keeping to TACOPS side of house up Mr. Fortin. But a fleet event for them is more then welcome.
Also as I mentioned before I'll be trying to keep Kick a Tribble going on Tuesday, depending who's on ill be helping lvl, OR it'll be STF's KDF style
Me and Keogh still the only ones with a MkXI set?
