Fleet Uniform Discussion

As the longtime members know, the Wrath of Khan (WoK) uniform was chosen to be the uniform for Fleet occasions by Fleet Admiral Fortin. Until recently, the unlock code was easily (and freely) acquired. That has changed, and it has always been the policy of Fleet command that we will not make a uniform option mandatory if it has to be purchased.

The standard Jupiter uniforms would be a nice option, except it is unlocked after having been a subscriber for 500 days.

I plan on ensuring the Fleet uniform is discussed at the Staff meeting this coming Thursday. Looking through the uniform options that are available to the newest player, I think these three are good options. (Note: the white in each case would be replaced by your career color: Blue for Science, Red for Engineering and Gold for Tactical, as per TOS standards.)

That won't work buddy :-) new guys have no access to any of the TWoK uniform.

If we go with DS9 uniforms, I'd recommend we stay with canon colors for them. They just dont look right to me otherwise.

As you can see, the only options for a free player are the Sierra, Antares, or NextGen - Movie. The TWoK uniforms are no longer free, and the code to get them free no longer works. So brand new players taking advantage of F2P won't be able to use the TWoK uniforms.

I'm not sure. I just wanted to show what someone else out there in the STO community researched and has listed on the STO Wiki as 'canon' colors.
