Considering going for a Gold Account but the benefits are unclear as to what you get?

I to have been thinking about going gold but still have a few questions.
1. Are rewards retroactive? If my toon is Lvl 50 do I get respeck for him
2. If I revert to silver do lose any rewards? Inv space, account bank and such

Those are some very good questions that unfortunatley I don't know the answer to for certain. However, I doubt that respecs are retroactive, and I would assume that inventory space would shrink if you went back to silver.

I wrote a ticket about Question number 1 and asked cause I also wanted to know... and they said no... they r not awarded retroactively

The answer for @2 is yes if you revert back to Silver you will lose the inv and bank slots and any items that do not fit will be placed in your overflow bag for pick up

thanks guys so basically either go lifetime or don't worry because established toons don't benefit as much and i don't have the disposable income every month but tax season is coming so a one time fee would be better.

I can testify to this as a previous silver player...you loose anything you gain from moving to gold. IF you purchased additional bank slots, inventory slots ect using ZEN, you KEEP those. You just loose everything you gained from becoming a GOLD player.

If you foresee yourself becoming a long-term player, I would suggest you wait util March and purchase a lifetime membership. In the past on the STO anniversary, they usually offer a discounted price for lifetime memberships. (up to 50% off). There is nothing in writing that states they are doing the same this year, just guessing they are from previous years.
