Vesta Build

I am looking for help with a Vesta build.   With my current build I can do 6k DPS, looking to get it up to 20K DPS.  I was wondering if anyone had a build you'd be willing to share.  Any help is much appreciated

I have had the Vesta pack for about a year using it on my engineer toon. It is an amazing ship.  I've had great success in STF's using the console set and I can take out a Cube in a flash using the Multidimensional Graviton Shield once a facing shield is down.  ...but in PVP I get blown out of the water in 2 sec flat.  I haven't seen a use for the consoles in PVP other than the Quantum Focus Field Bubble and to take up 3 console slots just for that function makes no sense.  

I am just trying to do my research now for this toon (Sci), so I don't have to go through buying a bunch of consoles and equipment that I just throw away when it doesn't work.   This is a relatively new toon and I haven't got the resources and reputation far enough along to do that anyway.  That and I'd prefer not to waist EC/Dilith getting a bunch of stuff I am not going to use.

So I am just trying to get some ideas, I thought maybe someone in this fleet would have a build they have tested before.  I've looked in Perfect World'd Forum and ST Academy's build page and I haven't seen any that are good at DPS.  I am considering going the Voth AP DBB, Adv Fleet AP, or  Elite Fleet Phaser and using FAW rather than using the DHCs and Rapid Fire, but I am open to suggestions.

Unless you plan on doing a lot of PvP, I wouldn't worry too much about it if you already have a build you love.  I don't do PvP like I use to and go with builds I love even though they aren't the norm or highest output for DPS.  I  use to have my guy (Tac) in Vesta when it first came out and had a pretty nasty Tac/Sci build.  Unfortunately I don't remember it and the spec kept me from flying my other ships to their potential so I abandoned it.  I do remember I went all turrets and DHC's with a torp.

If you didn't find one in the PvP forums on PW forums, you might not have the luck finding something you want with a Sci in the ship.  Right now to my knowledge the best PvP build for one is the power drain build.  You can find it's cookie cutter build easily for copy off the forums there.  Or get with Davis, he has the/version of power drain build.

Now if you want to go with a good PvP build that does good at disrupting and healing a team, go to the Chief of Staff.  Jason has a great build and good with the Sci dept.  In PvP, if you leave him un-checked the rest of the team will eat you alive while he keeps his team up.  It should be in the link that Knight posted.

Yeah, it's a fun build...mines not off the forums though...the build they use is probably better for pvp but I find the one I put together with some help from G to be a lot of fun...plus I tried to search the PW forums once last year sometime and it's too disorganized to find any current info without wasting hours. I know a lot of people think that's where my build came from but I put it together over about 4 months and it's still not quite finished.

It's not disorganized if you know where to look. Might just be me since I've always kept up with them.

If you want to find good PvP builds you just go to the PvP section, look at the sticky threads and you'll find one that dontdrunkimshoot made. He complyed a single thread of the top builds from players in OPvP and he keeps it updated. One of the best threads ever. He made it so people new to PvP could find the good builds and keep peiple interested in PvP.  No one likes to constantly get own, it just drives people away from playing the mode.

I never said you took your build off the forums. Just that you got it/have version of it.  However the build you run is there regardless. If others claim you got it off there its probably just cause they seen it on the PW forums too.  Almost ever build you can think of is on there if you know how to find them.
