re: Carrier advice

After playing with BoP's, I have decided that my skill set does not include the fast reaction time needed to be successful in any kind of PvP scenario. I will need something that will last longer that the first 5 seconds. My ultimate goal is to build a KDF ship that will last long enough in a Bloodbath event to make it more enjoyable for everyone, not just a mindless slaughter. I mean, I know we are going to lose and die gloriously, and they will sing songs about our bravery and all, but we need fights that will be fun for everyone.

I have been looking at my options:

1. Corsair

2. Vo'Qov

3. Kar'Fi

4. Jem'Hadar Dreadnaught Carrier

My character is a Science Captain. I am highly invested in Disruptors with consoles and weapons. My thought is to use spiral wave disruptors.

I am looking for any advice from you experts out there as to consoles, BOFFS, DOFFS, hangar pets, etc.

I really apprecitate any help I can get. I would like to see 7th I.T.S. well represented in the next event.

OR maybe a Galor class would hold up better.

Thanks to constant whining by the bed-wetting Federation PvP crowd....

General Vashaar - please see the attached:

I have invested heavily already in the path you are considering and have lost every time.  Hence, for the most part, I rarely play those characters anymore.  However, if you have the time, financial resources, technical savvy, reflexes, and patience, I wish you the best of luck.  There is much on the forums/internet about "best" KDF Builds, but from other KDF players who do a lot of PvP, I have been told the Battle Cloak is you best friend, whether it be BOP, Raptor, or Cruiser.

Note:  Almost all my Toons (KDF/Fed) are now flying the Breen Carrier (T6) with C-Store Purple Brek Frigates.  Having a good time with PvE stuff.

Cheers

General Thu'Fir sends.

This is how I've run my Vo'QuV for a while; granted, it's stuck at T5, so not sure how well it will do versus T5-U/T6 ships, even in a team. I have 4 or 5 different Science BOffs I swap out, depending on what abilities I want available.

Here's the loadout; for the hangar bays, I typically have one bay of To'Duj fighters and 1 bay of BoPs. If I'm going for max energy drain, I will load up both bays with Advanced Siphon drones.
