Not seeing much innovation with the possible choices, and IMHO, none of them look particularly.....sexy. There's certainly nothing I'd be willing to drop 3000 Zen on. Hopefully, these are extreme rough drafts and they'll tinker with the overall design to give it a more appealing look. I remember when I first saw the Enterprise D. I was blown away at how awesome (and different) it looked from it's previous incarnations. The same with Defiant. The designers took chances and produced great looking ships. These don't that. At least for me.

+1, Agree and well stated.
I know the Ship Designers are "restricted" in use of certain designs due to contract/understanding with CBS. However, the above looks like ships that they already had on file and just moved various parts around and perhaps fattened up a few hulls to handle two flights of ships. Also, in all fairness, the Federation does need a proper Carrier that does look like it was built by the Jupiter Station Engineers. However, I would do it more like the KDF side where the Carrier would be available as your first Rear Admiral ship (free). If you really like the ship, you can upgrade to Fleet version (T5-U) for a couple of fleet modules.
To make Carrier's really relevant again in STO, they need to bring their pets back up to previous strength.

Good point, sir. Though I'd be interested to know what exactly those restrictions are.
I flew a carrier before I got my Phantom, and generally, I enjoyed it. Even if they didn't return pets to their previous strength, I'd settle for more options in terms of both damage type and pet tasking. Carrier pets are supposed to support the mother ship, so pets should be able to be quipped (or bought) with different energy types so that captains can take advantage of their de/buffs without breaking the "cardinal sin" of running multiple energy types on their actual ship With New Dawn and Admiralty System coming soon, giving captains this option seems to be a logical next step.
Getting back to innovation, I think the designers really dropping the ball on the multi-vector ship. When I see the ship separated into its three constituent parts, I should look at each individual ad say, "I'd fly that!" And when it's flying as a sing unit it needs to look sleek. I've never flown one, so I'm not familiar with its capabilities, but along the same lines as carrier pets, the different sections should allow captains to take advantage of different abilities (such as a unique science, engineering, science and tactical abilities for the "deflector", hull and saucer sections respectively).
