Prepping for warp drive travel

We are 3 days out from Star Base 214 R/FO and the crew has finished prepping the Centurion these past 3 days of travel for faster than light travel. We have our orders from the Admiral and Comodore Turner is disengaging from his encounter with the Tholians and will soon head for the dead zone as well. As our preperations have been thorough I anticipate no troubles. I plan to drop out of warp travel prior to entering the dead zone and undertake a full sensor scan out to maximum distance before we reenter this part of the gayda quadrent.
While I do not know exactly who or what they aliens are, nor how they transport themselves we must be vigilent, lest the same fate befall us as did the Stille Jager whatever it may have been.
