re: Searching for a replacement mouse/trackball

I'm currently using a Logitech trackball that's been giving me fits lately. It will give me a double-click result from a single click, and sometimes it won't give me a click at all.
I'd like to find a similar mouse/trackball, but haven't had any luck. I'm open to suggestions; I'm looking for a wired trackball. If I'm given seriously compelling arguments for a wireless, I may consider it, but I've seen this too many times in various MMO groups: "Oops, mouse died."

Well that depends on what you mean by trackball if you refer to the big ball that you roll with your finger then I have no suggestions however if you refer to a normal mouse with a ball on the bottom then my reccomendation is to get a laser or optical mouse it doesn't have to be wireless I have a wired mouse with an optical guide and it is ten times smoother than any ball mouse and it doesn't need batteries it plugs into my usb port and I never have to worry about the "Oops Mouse Died" I have had this mouse for 3 years and it is still as smooth as ever. Here is what I have

Hope this helps

I do mean the trackball style, where you move the ball and the mouse, itself, remains stationary. Thanks, though.

I've ordered a wireless trackball (Logitech M570); I'd much prefer a wired, but this one is set up pretty much exactly like my current trackball.
